Congratulations Brother Roger on 50 years of sharing the Gospel! We are so grateful that God led our family to Benton and to Immanuel. I felt God speak directly to my heart through you that very first Sunday. You are a wonderful example of a God-loving, family-loving man, and we were blessed to have you preach to us and teach us for several years. I pray that God will continue to bless you and your family, and use you to further His kingdom for many years to come.
Brother Roger, Congratulations on 50 years of service to our Lord. In 1990 we had been looking for a place where both of us felt good about worship and could exercise our beliefs as to what we felt was a proper interpetation of the Bible. We both felt right away that we were being fed the Gospel, as it was meant to be, under your instruction, through your preaching of the Word. What you and Immanuel have meant to our family is beyond description. From getting us through troubled times and our kids being let to the Lord, it has made our life and memories a cherished one. We neither one could imagine what our time here, would have been having not been a member of your flock. Such a good Shepard you are. The world is a better place because of your devotion, contributions, sacrifices of your time, and wisdom of the Gospel. We know in your case the Lord will say to you "Well done my good and faithful servant". We miss you and wish you and yours the best that life on this earth has to offer. Keep up the faith and the fantastic work of our Lord. Love in Christ, Phil and Jane
Dear Brother Roger Becky and I want to congratulate you on your 50 years ministry. We feel blessed that we were able to serve under your teaching for 20 of those 50 years. We miss you and Sylvia very much. We miss your teaching, your council, and most of all your fellowship. You both are very special people and hold a very special place in our hearts. We knew when you were with us that you would be at our side if we ever needed you. We are still confident that you will be at our side in a time of need even though you are 3 hours away. I will never forget that you drove 6 hours to be with our family at my father's funeral. Life on this earth is always changing. But we remain confident that the one thing that will never change will be the love of our Lord Jesus Christ. You taught us so much through the word of God, but you taught us so much more through the way you lived your life and the love of God and His children that your portrayed everyday. We will be forever grateful to God for having placed you in our life if for only a short time. We send you and Sylvia our love and best wishes. In Christ, Alan and Becky Meyers
Contratulations on your 50 years! I wish you and your family the best as your years continue. It was a blessing and pleasure to sit under your teaching for the short amount of time that I did. I thought of you the day my grandfather passed, just a few weeks ago, remembering all of the times that you were there when we thought it was his last moment in life. May God contiue to bless you in your ministry.
What a privilege to know you! Thank you for the years of service you have given to our Lord and Savior. You will never know how many lives you have touched, through your preaching, writing, and radio ministries. Thank you for presenting the gospel so clearly to my family. Thank you for the Christ-centered sermons. Thank you for never being too busy to give us a call and pray with us when we were facing challenges. Thank you for living the words we spoke together after Sunday evening services- "Only one life, 'twil soon we past, only what's done for Christ will last." We love you and Sylvia and wish you a happy 50th!
Dear Brother Roger, Congratulations on your 50th anniversary in the ministry. It's hard to picture a boy just a few years older than Allison standing in front of a congregation preaching. Praise God for convicting you and thank you for answering his call. I did not grow up in a Christian home where my parents took me to church every week. My parents claimed to be Christians and on occasion they would go to church. I accepted the Lord as my personal savior when I was 12 years old. My sister and her husband took me to church with them. I went through the motions of going to church for many years. Jim had been raised in a solid Christian home and we both desired something more than the little church we were attending. The Lord led us to Immanuel in 1997.
We quickly found out that there was so much more to worship than we had ever experienced. We craved to hear your preaching weekly. We bagan to grow as Christian adults. I cannot say thank you enough for being our pastor and our friend. We will always be indebted to you for being with us through some of the most difficult and happiest times in our lives. We will never forget how you prayed with us while we were both facing surgeries or had illnesses. Thank you for "The Days of Grace" revival. We celebrated the birth of Allison Grace after that. I could not have went through the loss of my mother without having been under your preaching all of those years before. I did not know at the time, what the Lord was preparing me for. The Lord has blessed us with your friendship and we will be eternally greatful.
May you continue to give your service to the Lord as he calls you in the future. Thank you for being faithful and obedient. May God continue to bless you and Sylvia and your sweet family.
Through God you've affected so many lives. My family and I included. I have learned so much and grown closer to God through your sermons. I will always remember hearing the gospel first from you and I am very grateful for that. Congratulations on 50 years!
Thank you for the blessing you have been in our lives! I (Niki) had not been in church prior to 1998 when I started attending Immanuel with Jeremy. I will never forget first hearing the true gospel message from you and then yearning to hear more and more. I am so thankful to you for that! Thank you for being faithful to our Lord Jesus Christ. I also want to thank you and Sylvia for raising up Marty to preach boldly from the Bible as well. May God continue to bless you and your family.
