Pastor Roger, Thank you for your years of faithful service to the Lord Jesus, especially at Parkview. It was a privilege to minister with you, and we continue to pray for you and the rest of our Parkview family. -Joshua and Rebecca Hays
Bro.Roger- It seems like only yesterday that you and Sylvia came our way and became a part of the Parkview family. In James 4:2, Jesus says "you have not, because you asked not." We prayed and prayed that God would send to us His man, for His church, and now you are here. For our little church, we feel so blessed, and so fortunate to have such a fine person with your outstanding credentials leading our church. What an honor to your children and grandchildren to have set the mold by walking the walk and talking the talk for over 50 years in honor for Christ! Love, David and Diane Hoover
Brother Roger, You have been such a blessing for Parkview Church, the members and the community. It has re-engerized our Church to have a Pastor like you leading us. It was certainly an act of God to have a man of your caliber come to lead our Church. We know your family and you are extremely proud of your accomplishments.Congratulations! Love, Mike, Debbie and Brandi Stanfill
Brother Roger, Thank you for your incredible faithfulness in preaching God's word and following His call upon your life. You have shown me so much love during my time at Parkview and have never hesitated to give me the encouraging word that I was desperately needing in that moment. Thank you for serving our church with such a great passion. May God continue to use you in mighty ways in whatever avenues He has destined you to follow. It has been such a blessing to minister with you. -Rebecca Evans
I can not overstate the importance of the role that you've played in my life thus far. You preach in a way that convicts me of my shortcomings and challenges me to live up to Christ's standards. An aspiring pastor could not ask for a kinder, wiser, or more helpful mentor than you. I come at the end of this 50 year period of your ministry, and looking at this blog makes me wonder how many hundreds of people you've impacted over the years just as you have impacted me.
I hope you continue to boldy preach the truth of the Gospel... maybe you can get in another 50 years!
It was an honor and a priviledge to serve on the Pastor Search Committee with Herman Alexender, Tommy Weber, David Hoover and Sandra Hornsby as Parkview was seeking a new Pastor. We spent many months of reviewing resumes and we bathed our efforts in prayer that God would lead us in the right direction of choosing a leader for our Church. Our prayers were answered when we received your resume and talked with your references. We were very impressed with your accomplishments and were very humbled that you would even consider our little Church as your home during this time. You and Sylvia are such an asset to our community and Church. It is evident that God has lead you to serve Him in Jackson as well as everywhere you have served over the years. It is a blessing to have you as friends. As I have grown older, my faith has become stonger but as I have heard your sermons, it has risen to even a higher level. I am thankful to God.
Congradulations for 50 years of service to the ministry of our Lord & Savior!!
What an honor it is to be a part of your 50th celebration. It is such a blessing to have met a truly God honoring man as yourself. Your knowledge, preaching & teaching of the Bible is extraordinarily God inspired. Our lives would not be the same had you not become a part of Parkview.
Kenny & I are so grateful that you were able to perform our wedding ceremony with Bro. Brent Lay. You and Sylvia will always be part of our lives no matter where the Lord may lead you.
Brother Roger We are so glad that God sent you to parkveiw, it has been a privellege and a honor to have you as our pastor and our friend. we just want you to know we realy think the world of you and sylvia and will always keep you both in our prayers. May God bless you and your family and many more years of speading the word.
Even though we have recently become members of Parkview, we have enjoyed the sermons you bring each week and we have found them to be truly from the Word. You came to Parkview at just the time you were needed. So we believe that God directed you to this place of worship and we think good things will happen at Parkview. Congratulations on your 50th anniversary of preaching the word of God. We know that you and Sylvia have been blessed in more ways than you can count on your journey in this ministry.
Brother Roger, We were faithful. We prayed and we believed. And, the Lord blessed us with you. Thank you so much for the past 50 years of service to the Lord; but, an even more heartfelt thank you for the time that you have spent with us here at Parkview. We love you; but more importantly, we need you. The Lord knew this when He guided you to our doorstep. Thank you, Brother Roger.
